IGN recently got some hands on time with the PSP version of Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron at a recent press event. The preview details the multiplayer modes of the game, in which up to 16 players can play as Clones, CIS, Imperials, or Rebels. As previously noted, seamless transitions between ground and space battles is one of the main attractions of this title and it is no different for the multiplayer. You can choose to start out in a cruiser as a crewman, out in space in a fighter, or on the ground as infantry. However you will most likely have to move between each area to accomplish your objectives.
Kotaku attended presumably the same event and also wrote their thoughts on the multiplayer, also for the PSP version. There are several things noted that the author did not like about the game, most notably some control issues. Overall though it was a very positive preview.
