By Char Ell at 10:02pm on August 20th, 2009 | 2 Comments
Is LucasArts about to dish out some more love to PC gamers? Amazon has listed LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga for Windows XP and Windows Vista for pre-order with a release date of 2009 October 13. Originally released in 2007 November for console and handheld platforms, PC missed out on the complete LEGO Star Wars experience. If Amazon’s listing is right though then PC gamers will at long last get an opportunity to play through all six episodes of LEGO Star Wars.

Former LucasArts President Jim Ward Running for Congress
By Jeff at 1:50pm on August 14th, 2009 | Comment
Former LucasArts president Jim Ward is running for Arizona’s 5th Congressional District in the election of 2010, according to his official website.
Ward resigned from LucasArts last year, citing “personal reasons”. Many could argue that Ward’s departure and the hiring of current LucasArts president Darrel Rodriguez was the best thing to happen to LucasArts in the last 10 years.
Along with his previous experience, Ward’s site details his time at LucasArts. “Ward led the growth of the video game company, creating such popular award winning games as Star Wars Battlefront, Star Wars Lego and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Additionally, at Lucasfilm, Ward oversaw the planning, development and execution of global marketing and distribution programs for all Lucasfilm’s motion picture, television and video properties.”

Ask Me About Loom 2
By Jeff at 4:11pm on August 13th, 2009 | 2 Comments
We all know Telltale is interested in making more new series based on classic LucasArts properties. Well add Loom to the list of possibilities, as Dave Grossman, design director at Telltale Games, has spoken on the matter. In a recent podcast interview, Grossman expressed his interest in continuing the Loom series:
“The one I always think about these days is Loom actually, and how ahead of its time it was. I think the problem with it at the time was that it was only two and a half hours long and now I find myself deliberately trying to design games that are only two and a half hours long. So I think… well, why not do that?”
We certainly are not opposed to this at all! Which LucasArts adventure franchise would you most like to see Telltale tackle next?
