Star Wars: Trench Run was recently announced for the iPhone and iPod Touch and puts you in the cockpit of an X-Wing during (arguably) the most iconic sequence in the Star Wars trilogy. The game will use motion controls to fly your X-Wing across the surface of the Death Star, leading up to the player being able to use the Force to slow down the action and nail the shot to crush the Empire. The game is being developed by Infrared5 and distributed by THQ Wireless Inc. and should be appearing on the App Store very soon. Check out StarWars.com for the full list of features.

I’d prefer a port of X-Wing or TIE Fighter, but I’d suppose the controls (or the lack thereof) wouldn’t suit it properly. :p
Heh yeah. Who knows, maybe this is a sign of things to come and we’ll get X-Wing or TIE Fighter on Steam? Though technically this app isn’t even developed or anything by LucasArts, so I’m not sure.
